It has been a season of change for OASIS Albuquerque! We are extremely pleased with our new location and many thanks go to the OASIS board of directors and Michael Nutkiewicz for finding the new location. Parking is convenient and our classrooms are comfortable. We’re still working out some kinks and appreciate your patience.
With the new location come new expenses. We were extremely fortunate to have the Macy’s location and they provided many in-kind amenities -- the space, utilities, phone, janitorial, security, etc. We now have to pay those expenses. That’s where you come in.
Here are several ways you can help increase our revenue:
- Do you know a group or organization that needs space for their conference, seminar, or meeting? We have two available classrooms -- one that seats 120 and another that seats 40 -- which we will rent for a modest fee.
- We want to increase our reach. Encourage your friends, neighbors or colleagues to attend an OASIS class at our new, convenient location. OR is there a location in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area that needs our catalog? Let us know and we’ll make sure to deliver to that location.
- Consider a tax-deductible contribution to Albuquerque OASIS.
I am deeply grateful to OASIS staff for their patience and perseverance during all these transitions. Thanks to Ruth Starr, our executive assistant, for working so hard to make the transition from Macy’s to American Square as seamless as possible. Thanks to Melody Mock, our programming associate, for guiding me through the ins and outs of producing this, my first, catalog and thanks to Mary Reed, our tutoring coordinator, for passing on to me her passion for the OASIS tutoring program.
If you weren’t able to attend a class this summer in our new location, we certainly hope to see you this fall!
