This course is a comprehensive introduction to Facebook. The manual is 34 pages long, easily enough material for 4 to 6 hours of classroom time. Students will practice entering profile information, finding and adding Facebook Friends, posting pictures and status updates, and interacting via Likes and Comments.
It is suggested that, when possible, instructors have students create accounts outside of class, and have dummy accounts set up for students to use in case of issues with Internet access or students not being able to access personal email for confirmation purposes. At the least, students should come prepared to access their personal email accounts.
The current version is 3.0, which adds more information on Groups, unfriending, privacy settings relating to email and phone numbers posted to profiles, and updated graphics/screenshots.
