Gifts From the Kitchen and
This fun class will feature delectable food samples, hints and ideas for a less stressful holiday season, door prizes, and a take-home craft is included. Participants will also leave with a booklet which includes all the recipes, directions and gift tags for everything presented.

Making a Difference
Enrichment Workshops for Tutors
The following workshops offer opportunities for OASIS tutors to continue to gain tips and knowledge on how to engage children in reading readiness. While these programs support the OASIS tutoring program they are not exclusive to tutors and can be valuable enrichment to anyone with a love of reading and children in their lives. No registration fee required for these workshops.
The elementary school children’s librarian will lead you through the maze of reading materials available at Greenwood Public Library. From new graphic novels, read-alongs that develop fluency, to understanding leveled reading lists, you will be better prepared to offer reading selections that entice your student. Anne Guthrie will greet you in the main lobby.

Read Aloud Tips, Reading Recommendations and Resources
Children’s Librarian, Amy Friedman, will share techniques to make reading aloud fun and engaging, talk about what’s new and recommended in children’s literature, introduce resources available at the Indianapolis Public Library, and provide a tour of the Learning Curve at Central Library. Meet Amy in the main lobby in the new section of the library near the check out desk. The parking garage entrance is on Pennsylvania Street. Fee for parking is $1.00 per hour. Be sure to keep your parking garage ticket with you.
