OASIS Dedicates Garden

San Antonio OASIS and Jefferson Outreach dedicated its new garden at the OASIS at Morningside location on Friday April 12th. The Blake Rapier Garden was started in the fall when the Kym's Kids Organization helped plant flowers that were donated by City Councilman, Cris Medina (District 7). The garden includes a gazebo where OASIS and Jefferson Outreach will place memory bricks.

Next time you are at an OASIS class please visit our beautiful garden. It is a great place to eat lunch.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the program. We are grateful for the time, energy and commitment of our dedicated group of volunteers.

Would you like to make a difference in the life of a child who is struggling to read? We are seeking adults age 50 and over to work one-on-one with a child in first, second or third grade for one hour a week to improve reading skills and build self-esteem.

For more information about our program or to sign up, please contact our Intergenerational Programs Coordinator, Marly Flores, at 236-5954.
