Explore the culture and customs of the Amish. The day includes a delicious, hearty feast prepared by a Amish hostess in her home near Arthur, Illinois, complete with homemade bread and pie. The afternoon is spent shopping in the Amish-owned stores that sell bakery items, jam, cheese, furniture, quilts and dry goods.

Heritage Days at Historic New Harmony, Indiana

Discover the German culture that has shaped the region as we visit historic New Harmony. This intriguing village is located along the Wabash River just over the border from Illinois. New Harmony was settled in 1814 by a German religious commune and later by a group hoping to create a Utopian Society.Handmade items will be for sale! Fee includes transportation, tour guide, admission and a bountiful lunch at the famous Red Geranium Restaurant.
