OASIS in Pittsburgh
Intergenerational Tutoring
Share your love of reading as you help a child develop a positive self image and a motivation to read and communicate.
OASIS has partnered with the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council, the Pittsburgh Public Schools and Woodland Hills School District to support OASIS tutoring in Pittsburgh. Volunteers support the program in a variety of ways:
Tutoring children one-on-one
Training and supporting tutors
Coordinating the program in the schools.

Help people join the digital society through Connections computer classes in the
Allegheny County Libraries

Volunteers are needed to teach classes. You do not need to be an expert - patience and enthusiasm are what matter most. We train you and provide the course materials. To learn more about volunteering, contact Charity Leonette at
