Have you ever been called awesome or cool or sweet?
Become an OASIS Tutor. You’ll earn these titles.

Just one hour a week helping a child develop reading skills can truly change a life. Tutors help students in grades K-4 improve their reading ability and build their self-esteem and love of learning.

"Loretta has gained so much confidence since we began working together this past year," says one tutor.

The lives of tutors are also enriched. Children give their tutors a feeling of connectedness and sense of purpose.

Tutors are assigned to an APS or Rio Rancho elementary school near their home, and work with one child, referred by the child's teacher, one hour each week for an entire school year. Training and materials are provided; no teaching experience is needed.

Stay tuned for upcoming Tutor Training dates and times!
