Director's Corner

Dear OASIS members and friends,

As we begin our first 2011 trimester, you'll see new faces at our OASIS Escondido office. I have enjoyed stepping into the role of Program Manager for North County OASIS and would like to thank everyone for their words of encouragement and offers of assistance during this transition. Steve Flanders has accepted the position of Intergenerational Programs Coordinator and will be working with the Tutoring and Active Generations Programs. We will do our best to carry on the traditions of excellence that have made our OASIS programs so successful.

Volunteers are the backbone of OASIS and we have been blessed to have some fantastic folks step up and keep us moving forward. Transitions are always difficult and changes sometimes take time but our "team" of staff and accomplished volunteers has put together a catalog I think you will enjoy. Many of our esteemed instructors have returned, on-going classes are scheduled, travel has wonderful adventures and we've added some new and exciting programs to tickle your imagination and enrich your thinking. We encourage you to register early so your selection will not be cancelled or you find that it is closed due to over enrollment.

We have consolidated the OASIS offices to the north side of the Joslyn Center across from the grassy picnic area. It's easy to find us and we're enjoying the new space and convenience of having the office together. Even the tutor library has a new home! Stop in and visit, we would love to see you!

Hope to see you soon.

Sincerely,

Carolyn Collins
Program Manager
