Nat Hutton is the CATCH Healthy Habits Program Coordinator with Pacific Region OASIS of Southern California.
Previously, Nat was the CEO of L.A. Family Housing Corp for 7 years and has been active in the nonprofit world for 15 years. Nat received a Bachelor of Art in Music from Washburn University and Master in Business Administration from Stanford University. He was on the Opera Stage for 10 wonderful years before receiving his MBA from Stanford, and was a Banker for 20 plus years.
Nat says, “After all that, I wanted to give back to the community and found this wonderful agency OASIS, where I began tutoring.”
Nat then got involved with CATCH Healthy Habits in 2011. He comments that obesity in America is at 29%. “We must do something about the state of our wonderful country and become healthier citizens. At Pacific Region OASIS, we are doing our best in trying to correct this major problem in our society. I have so many schools and community organizations that want to become partners and participate in the program. I am having a wonderful time making a difference in the lives of children as well as the volunteers that assist with the program.”
In addition to coordinating the CATCH Healthy Habits program, Nat continues to be involved with the OASIS tutoring program where he mentors six boys. Outside of OASIS, Nat is also on four nonprofit boards in the Los Angeles Area: ONEgeneration, COPE, Sunair Foundation and The Children’s Collective Inc.
“I have been given so much, it’s time for me to return in so many ways! Life is good! CATCH is wonderful!
