OASIS holds informative and exciting new classes and events throughout the year on an almost daily basis. These are just a sampling of some recent ones.
January 2011 - Participants watched the cataclysmic Missoula Ice Age floods unfold in a virtual bird's eye view in a new computer simulation. Roger Denlinger, from the U.S. Geological Survey, detailed how he and other scientists pieced together evidence of the massive flood that reshaped much of Oregon and Washington more than 15,000 years ago.
March 2011 - Portland's Historic Stained Glass Windows are the legacy of the Povey Brothers whose creations from 1888 to 1929 still grace many local residences and churches. In a lecture followed by a tour, OASIS participants learned about their history and appreciated their enduring beauty firsthand.
