Volunteer with San Diego OASIS
San Diego OASIS Ambassadors
There are many ways to help us grow: host a gathering at your home and introduce OASIS to your neighbors and friends, volunteer by staffing an OASIS table at a community fair, help us distribute catalogs to local libraries and other organizations, and many more. We can use your helping hand!
CATCH Healthy Habits
As CATCH Healthy Habits volunteer, you can be part of the solution to help reduce childhood obesity. The intergenerational nutrition and physical activity program pairs teams of volunteers with children (grades K-5) after school to provide health tips, healthy snacks and fun-filled activities.
Volunteers in our tutoring program help children in grades K-4 build reading skills, self-esteem and positive attitudes toward learning. Training and materials are provided, you provide enthusiasm, patience and compassion. Your role as a tutor is that of a friend and a role model. No teaching experience is needed.
When you become a volunteer at the Escondido or the Mission Valley OASIS center, you give back to the organization while helping your fellow members. OASIS center volunteers are vital to our operations. You’ll greet members, assist with member and class registration, answer questions and generally make the center a cheerful and welcoming place!
We are always looking for dynamic lecturers with various professional backgrounds. For more information, please email Sarah at firstname.lastname@example.org
Enjoy all the excitement of a travel agency as a travel program volunteer! Meet and greet potential OASIS travelers as you explain the upcoming trips. You’ll work with members both in person and over the phone, disseminate information, make bookings, fill out appropriate trip paperwork and phone with friendly reminders prior to trip departure. You may also contribute as a trip leader and a trip planner.
