How does OASIS keep you young at heart?

Karen King, on being an OASIS tutor ... "everyone’s probably said it, but it’s true, you get back so much more than you give.”

Ron Fenech says volunteering showed him that even though his body is aging, his mind is sharp and he has a valuable skill to offer.

OASIS Celebrates 30 Years of Discovery

In the fall of 1982, Marylen Mann brought her dream of stimulating opportunities for older adults to reality with the founding of OASIS. Launched in a May Company department store in St. Louis, OASIS sounded the first shots of the aging revolution.

Today, OASIS is a powerhouse of more than 56,000 participants, volunteers and partners in 40 U.S. cities who are discovering new ways to be active, healthy and engaged in their communities.

What's your story of life after 50?

OASIS is powered by the people who participate in our programs. To celebrate our 30th year, we are sharing your experiences so more people can find their OASIS. Tell us your story.
