OASIS Joins in Summit of the Partnership for a Healthier America
 OASIS participated in the inaugural “Building a Healthier Future Summit” of Partnership for a Healthier America in Washington DC, led by First Lady Michelle Obama. The summit brought together more than 800 leaders from private industry, nonprofits and government – to form partnerships and make commitments in addressing one of the most pressing public health problems in the country – childhood obesity. |

AT&T Contribution to Expand OASIS Technology Training for Adults 50+
 The OASIS Institute has received a $625,000 contribution from AT&T to expand its OASIS Connections technology training program in 2011-12. The contribution will enable the national education organization to expand workforce skills training for adults age 50-plus; support national instructor training, e-learning and certification; and equip thousands of adults with the ability to use technology effectively – both in their personal lives and on the job. This expansion includes training in eighteen cities across the country. |

O’FALLON OASIS hub to open in grand style

St. Louis OASIS and the City of O’Fallon, MO are uniting to help adults discover more after age 50! Thanks to this new partnership, starting this fall OASIS will provide more than 45 health, wellness and continuing education programs for adults 50+ through City of O’Fallon venues including the Renaud Spirit Center, Civic Hall and the O’Fallon Senior Center.

What a Tweet! Adults 50+ Are All a-Twitter about Giving Made Simple

So a group of adults 50-and-older is taking full advantage of a unique fundraising campaign…and learning how to “tweet” in the process. This month, Sam’s Club and the Sam’s Club Giving Program are conducting a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about health and wellness issues. |
