OASIS, a non-profit organization which serves adults age 50 and older, has appointed Jennifer Newcom, as Development Manager, and Christie Norrick, as Community Health Coordinator. Both Newcom and Norrick recently started their duties with OASIS.
In her role, Newcom will manage direct mail fundraising appeals, major gift cultivation and solicitation strategies. She holds a Masters of Business Administration-Nonprofit Management, from Drake University, and a Bachelors of Science in Marketing from Western Kentucky University. Newcom’s experience includes serving as the Director of Advancement, Midwest Region for Regent University, as the Executive Director of Children’s Flight of Hope, Inc. and as the Associate Director of Development, Annual Giving, Iowa State University Foundation.
Norrick started at OASIS as a Masters of Social Work practicum student, then served as a national health consultant while completing her MSW from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work—Washington University. Upon graduation she was then hired to serve in the community health coordinator role, handling curriculum and program development, health program evaluation, program implementation and lay-leader support. She also holds a Bachelors of Fine Art from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts--Washington University. Her additional experience includes roles as a Community Support Specialist with Bridges Community Support Services, an After-school Program Facilitator with Wyman Center, and as a Recreation Leader with the City of St. Louis Parks and Recreation Department.
