BJC president Steve Lipstein featured at OASIS evening program covering the Affordable Care Act
If you’re under 65, not yet eligible for Medicare and need health insurance, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) offers new health care options to meet your needs and fit your budget. The ACA is designed to improve access to health care in the U.S and make it more affordable through the new Health Insurance Marketplace.
How will the ACA impact you in 2014? Do you need the Marketplace? Learn more at an OASIS evening program with Steve Lipstein, President and CEO of BJC HealthCare, on Wednesday, November 13 from 6 - 8 pm at OASIS at the Center of Clayton. Lipstein, who oversees one of the nation’s largest health care organizations, will share his perspective on the ACA, the new Health Insurance Marketplace, who will benefit and how to get help choosing a plan.
The program is your opportunity to find out more about the ACA and ask Lipstein questions about the new options available through the Marketplace. You can register online for the program at oasisnet.org/stl or call 314.862.4859 ext. 24.
The Marketplace is a website that opened on October 1 to help individuals, families and small business employees shop for insurance plans if they do not have coverage from an employer or government (under Medicare, Medicaid or the Veterans Administration). OASIS in St. Louis is providing navigators who offer one-on-one counseling assistance to people enrolling in the Marketplace in Missouri. More information is available at oasisnet.org/aca.
