Teaching Connections classes

You can help adults over 50 keep up with today's technology

Computer skills are becoming essential for older adults to access benefits, connect with family and friends, and succeed in the workplace.

You can help close the digital gap by volunteering as a Connections instructor or in a supporting role. A good working knowledge of the computer is important, but you don't need to be an expert; your enthusiasm and patience are what matter most!

OASIS Connections is an evidence-based curriculum of computer courses designed specifically for mature adults. Classes are offered in many locations around the country and cover a variety of topics such as:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Using Email
  • Searching the Internet
  • Online job searching and resumes
  • Word processing and spreadsheets
  • Social networking online
