CATCH Healthy Habits in San Diego

San Diego OASIS offers the CATCH Healthy Habits program, a unique, evidence based, intergenerational physical activity and nutrition program that benefits two generations: kids (K-5) and adults age 50-plus.

CATCH Healthy Habits promotes healthy kids by engaging adults as mentors to teach healthy lifelong habits to children. Teams of volunteers work with elementary school children in weekly one-hour classes for 8-week sessions, which include:

  • fun games and exercises,
  • preparing healthy snacks and
  • learning about good food choices

As a volunteer, you not only help promote healthy habits for kids, but also gain experience for yourself!

For information about volunteering, contact
Erica Macht at 619-881-6262, or email Becky Hofseth.
