Wendy Orley Tutor Power puts more resources at tutors' fingertips

Mary Butorac, a tutor in the Vista school district in North San Diego County, says Tutor Power, OASIS' new online resource library, is a valuable tool for finding activities for her students. "I used to spend twice as much time preparing for lessons," Butorac says.

Developed with funding from Anheuser Busch and the Monsanto Fund, Tutor Power is a searchable database of session plans, books and activities that makes planning easier than ever.

Wendy Orley, a former teacher and librarian, says the library is "good for directing you to activities on a topic or interest the kids express - like the 'Cookie Monster' - and ways to expand that topic." More.
