The OASIS Institute ("OASIS") provides educational programs and information to enrich the lives of mature adults. OASIS strongly believes that privacy and confidentiality are the cornerstone of open dialog and learning. This policy outlines how we use and protect your personal information.

Personally-Identifiable Information
OASIS collects personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, mailing address and telephone number when you register for OASIS through our website, our centers or providers of our programs. We use this information to fulfill your requests for programs and services, contact you, evaluate programs, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting to funders and partners. OASIS will never intentionally disclose this information to any third party without your consent, except in the event that such disclosure is required by law or legal process.

Non-Personally-Identifiable Information
OASIS may also collect information about you that is not personally-identifiable. Examples of this type of information may include your birth date, gender, ethnic origin, educational background and interests. We use this information to measure our ability to serve a broad audience, and to improve our services. OASIS may share this information in the aggregate to provide anonymous reporting to funders and partners.

Security and Confidentiality
OASIS will take all reasonable steps to protect the security and confidentiality of your personal information. OASIS uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption and the https security protocol when transmitting certain kinds of information, such as your personal or credit card information. This method is the industry standard security protocol, which makes it extremely difficult for anyone else to intercept the information you send to us. An icon resembling a padlock is displayed on the bottom of most browser windows during SSL transactions that involve credit cards. Any time OASIS asks you for a credit card number for payment or for verification purposes, it will be SSL encrypted. The information you provide will be stored securely on our servers. OASIS maintains reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards on our servers to protect your personal information.

Changes and Modifications
OASIS may revise this policy at any time by updating the Privacy Policy posting on our website at www.oasisnet.org/about/privacy.htm.
