CATCH Healthy Habits in Maryland!

You stay healthy, kids get healthy.

Obesity rates in America have tripled for children and doubled for older adults in the last 30 years. CATCH Healthy Habits combats this serious  problem by engaging adults age 50+ as mentors to teach kids in grades K-5 about healthy eating and active living.

You can help!

As a CATCH Healthy Habits volunteer, you offer children in your community a chance at health, happiness, and longevity by kick-starting lifelong healthy habits. Not to mention you will also benefit from the increased exercise and knowledge about nutrition!

Teams of volunteers work weekly with children K-5 in after-school and summer programs for 8 to 12 weeks. All training and materials will be provided. Classes meet in various locations throughout Montgomery and Prince George's Counties.
