“Every kid has strength, and if you can help them find that, it’s a good thing,” says Martha Murphy of St. Louis. “Being an Oasis tutor is a pure, unadulterated joy of my life.” Older adults have abundant skills and life experience, as well as a desire to help children succeed. The new Generation to Generation campaign aims to provide a million more adults with opportunities such as Oasis Tutoring to stand up and show up for kids. The program was recently featured on PBS's Next Avenue.org.
