#738 | Southern California by Train: Trips & Tricks
Monday, December 4, 1:00 - 3:00 | This workshop is all about using trains to get to destinations between Escondido, Oceanside, and its surrounding areas, including San Diego, Orange County, L.A.'s Union Station, and much more. Instructor Dennis Sullivan will share his comprehensive knowledge of routes, schedules, cost, and the different classes of service you can select from. This lecture will also discuss long distance trains that Amtrak offers from L.A. to Seattle, Chicago, and New Orleans.

El Cajon Residents: Do You Love to Read?

Why not share your pleasure and read with a child? The Oasis Intergenerational Tutoring program is seeking volunteers who can spend one hour a week at Madison Elementary School in El Cajon, with a K-5th grade child to build reading and language skills, self-esteem and positive attitudes toward learning.

From November 18 to January 31, San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum is proud to offer Oasis members and their family members $5 discounted admission, with access to all their daily activities! Simply indicate that you are an Oasis member at the front desk.
 
Come experience a world of wonders with hands-on activities for the entire family! Since 1999, San Diego Children's Discovery Museum has been inspiring children to learn about their world through exploration, imagination, and experimentation.Today they remain the only hands-on educational children's museum in North San Diego County, serving children ages 0-10 with interactive exhibits and programs focused on science, world cultures, and art.
 
All exhibits and programs are designed with the help of museum experts, educators, and childhood development specialists, ensuring a wide range of skill development and concepts that align with California’s Common Core curriculum. 

Through play, children have the opportunity for creative problem solving, critical thinking, and hands-on exploration and experimentation.
