We are looking to enrich our offsite library class experiences by having a San Diego Oasis Library Ambassador Volunteer present at our upcoming classes.

This new volunteer opportunity serves as a way to add a personal touch to class attendees and instructors. There are 60 library classes during our upcoming session so we hope you can help us!

To better explain the Library Ambassador Volunteer role, benefits and rewards of this program, and to provide you with materials, we are hosting brief training sessions at two locations. There will be giveaway drawings for those who can join us:

Library Ambassador Training – Grossmont Lifelong Learning Center
Wednesday, September 12  | 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Library Ambassador Training – Escondido Senior  Center
Wednesday, September 12  | 1:30 – 2:30 pm

Please RSVP to Amy O’Connor:

It has been a great year at San Diego Oasis; thank you for continuing to invest in yourself by staying engaged, informed, and healthy. The trimester isn't over - we have a few more fun-filled weeks before the new catalog comes out, so I encourage you to take another look at workshops in August.

Our Fall catalog is being printed right now. I am pleased to say that it is our finest one yet... more programs, more variety, more locations. My colleagues Brandon Harding, David Beevers and Sarah Beaupré have been working hard! Do you tend to Taste before Commit? Come to Taste of Oasis on Friday, September 7, 10 am -12 pm for fitness demonstrations & book signings, coffee & nibbles, early bird savings, give-aways, and more.

San Diego Oasis is not possible without donor support. We are grateful to all of you, who continue to make tax-deductible donations to ensure Oasis thrives for the benefit of older adults and low income children. Kudos.

Warmly,

Simona Valanciute
