At San Diego Oasis, we are looking into how we can address the issue of educating students about alternative possibilities of lucrative and respectable career choices that are available in the workplace.Students are often unaware that skilled trades can provide a successful career with excellent pay and benefits, whether working for a company or as an entrepreneur. |

| Many skilled workers have discovered that in retirement they find themselves wishing to continue working and finding meaningful purposeful activities to keep them engaged and active. Creating a mentoring program would enable them to fulfill their desire to share the skills that they have developed over their lifetime, and in many cases, made a career doing. Many desire to inspire young people to consider careers in these important skilled professions. |
